In 2004, there were almost no states left with an obesity rate <20%.

In 2007, only 1 state remains with an obesity rate <20%, and now we have states that are >30%. It is rumored that the next CDC map will have to add another color to account for obesity rates >35% in some states.

As the obesity rates increase, so do the associated disease states including heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, joint problems, and breathing problems.
